2021 Communicator Awards: Accountable Now and TruStage

Velir is proud to announce that two of our clients have received awards from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA)’s 27th Annual Communicator Awards. The Leadership Conference for Civil and Human Rights and TruStage® Insurance were each honored for their websites that Velir partnered with them to complete. 

The websites were selected from over 6,000 entries received from across the world as part of the largest and most competitive awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals. Communicator Award winners in 2021 who received the competition’s highest honor, the Award of Excellence, include UFC, PepsiCo, Forbes, BoxMedia, WWE, Microsoft, Code Red. GmbH, Comcast, and Disney Creative Studios.   

By partnering with The Leadership Conference for Civil and Human Rights on their Accountable Now campaign, we helped develop an interactive website with the largest public police use of force database in the U.S. By telling compelling stories with data, Accountable Now makes it easy to explore and collect police use of force data, and to get educated on how it can be used to advocate for change in the U.S.

We collaborated with CMFG Life Insurance Company to create a new one-stop digital experience for their TruStage® Insurance offerings. The website educates customers on available insurance, helps them find the right products, allows them to receive customized quotes, and provides a place for them to maintain their insurance all in one place. It can also handle a variety of complex customer billing and benefit needs, and it’s accessible to a wide variety of customers.  

The Leadership Conference for Civil and Human Rights received two awards for their Accountable Now website. TruStage® Insurance’s website won one award. Here is a detailed list of the awards each website received:
