Velir Wins 2022 Silver Davey Award for Drexel.edu Redesign
Velir is proud to share that we’ve won a 2022 Silver Davey Award for our work redesigning Drexel University’s website. Our Drexel.edu redesign was honored in the 18th Annual Davey Awards by The Academy of Interactive Visual Arts (AVIA) and chosen from a field that included over 2,000 entries from across the globe.
We redesigned Drexel.edu to accomplish two main goals: (1) Drive enrollment and retain highly-qualified students and (2) Raise awareness about Drexel’s reputation as a comprehensive research university and a leader in experiential education.
To accomplish each, we crafted four template families that reflect Drexel’s status as a large urban research university, reorganized the site’s content around four content pillars that communicate Drexel’s differentiators, and designed a unified digital experience that surfaces exciting news and student stories.
We prepared our designs, front-end design prototype, content strategy, and technical insights for Drexel’s team to execute the Sitecore development of their site. With our technical support and consulting, Drexel’s developers had everything they needed to bring the project to life. We assisted them until launch, and beyond, as we continue to support them post-launch.
The success of our collaboration is reflected in Drexel’s Davey award-winning site, which offers streamlined navigation, prominent stories that demonstrate the value of Drexel’s education, and content that clearly addresses Drexel’s costs, deadlines, and differentiators.

The Davey Awards exclusively honor the “Davids” of creativity, the finest small shops, firms, agencies, and companies worldwide.
